San Juan College has announced a series of roadway and signage improvements, mostly to its main campus in Farmington.

The most immediate change visitors will see is the closure of the front (East) entrance off College Boulevard and the two front parking lots in front of the Learning Commons (A) and Henderson Fine Arts Center (B).  Those closures will begin Monday, May 15, 2023.

The biggest changes will be the addition of an arch at the main entrance off College Boulevard and a new roundabout in front of the Learning Commons.

The project is being funded with the 2022 General Obligation bonds that were passed last November. The scope of work includes upgrading portions of the campus ring road and to create a continuous loop, addressing pedestrian circulation with new paths, curbs, site lighting and marking to provide safer travel through the campus. The project will include a new bus loop and roundabout for the east entry off of College Blvd. In addition to the infrastructure and road improvements, the project will provide new entry gateways and signage to improve wayfinding throughout the campus.

The roadway lighting improvement at San Juan College West in Kirtland will provide safer driving conditions for staff and students to our West Campus.
