Reward Offered as Local Threats Continue

This was the fourth threat reported to FPD this week with the others occurring at Tibbetts Middle School, Farmington High School and Piedra Vista High School. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the threats. Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said, “The community must unite to help solve this."

From Farmington Police: 

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Farmington police were dispatched to the Animas Valley Mall in reference to a bomb threat. The threat was written in the women’s bathroom and was discovered by a mall employee. The mall was evacuated and will remain closed until police have completed a thorough search. This was the fourth threat reported to FPD this week with the others occurring at Tibbetts Middle School, Farmington High School and Piedra Vista High School. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the threats. Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said, “The community must unite to help solve this. Threats such as these occupy valuable law enforcement time, preventing them from responding to other calls for service. This affects businesses, students, parents and the community as a whole. FPD takes each of the threats very seriously and are doing everything we can to identify the individuals responsible.”
