Body Identified

Farmington, NM - On Monday. September 14th, 2015, at approximately 0636 hours, Farmington Police Officers were dispatched to the Rimrock Inn, 2530 Bloomfield Hwy, in reference to a found body. 

Farmington, NM - On Monday. September 14th, 2015, at approximately 0636 hours, Farmington Police Officers were dispatched to the Rimrock Inn, 2530 Bloomfield Hwy, in reference to a found body.  The body was observed by the caller through an open door, on the floor of one of the rooms.  When officers arrived, they located a deceased adult male.  This case is currently being investigated as a homicide.  The victim has been identified as 61 year old Dalton Ford of Farmington.  If anyone has information regarding this investigation, you are urged to contact Detective Norwood at (505) 599-1005.  Additionally, anonymous crime tips may be reported by calling the San Juan County Crime Stoppers at (505) 334-TIPS (8477).

    Officers canvassed the area for the suspect; however, investigators believe the individual left the area prior to police arrival. The Farmington Police Department is releasing a video of a person of interest. The video shows a male on a bicycle headed east on Navajo Street towards Lincoln Avenue. The Farmington Police Department urges anyone with information or video surveillance from the area to contact detectives at 505-599-1068.

    Reports indicated the child had been locked in a chicken coop for extended periods and exposed to extreme weather conditions. Detectives immediately responded, removed the child from the home, and gathered evidence corroborating the allegations.
