Man Killed by Own Vehicle in Farmington

Initial investigations reveal that the victim was struck by his own vehicle after it began to roll away due to improper parking. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Farmington Police Department is investigating a tragic vehicle-related incident that occurred in the 2000 block of Summit Drive.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on January 12, 2025, officers responded to a report that a man had been seriously injured in a vehicle incident. Initial investigations reveal that the victim was struck by his own vehicle after it began to roll away due to improper parking. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This traffic fatality remains under investigation. The Farmington Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the individual involved.
