Armed Robbery Suspect Captured

In the evening hours of September 17th, 2015, Farmington Police Department (FPD) Detectives and Agents with the United States Marshal Service (USMS) learned of a possible location for Marcos Gutierrez.

In the evening hours of September 17th, 2015, Farmington Police Department (FPD) Detectives and Agents with the United States Marshal Service (USMS) learned of a possible location for Marcos Gutierrez. A subject matching Mr. Guiterrez' description was seen leaving the residence in a vehicle with two other subjects. USMS agents and FPD patrol personnel conducted a stop of the vehicle. The subject was positively identified as Mr. Gutierrez, and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Gutierrez was interviewed by Detectives and subsequently charged with Robbery (a third degree felony), Assault With Intent to Commit a Violent Felony (a third degree felony), and Larceny (a third degree felony). Mr. Gutierrez has been booked into the San Juan County Detention Center on these charges, along with an unrelated warrant.

The Farmington Police Department would like to thank the United States Marshal Service for their assistance in capturing Mr. Gutierrez. We would also like to extend a special "thank you" to the Facebook public for actively engaing in our efforts to keep our community safe.
