San Juan College Symphonic Band Performance

Enjoy an evening of music when the San Juan College Symphonic Band performs on Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m., in the Henderson Fine Arts Performance Hall.

The San Juan College Symphonic Band, conducted by Dr. Teun B. Fetz, will play a variety of up-tempo, exciting music, with a mix of lovely lyrical songs. San Juan College Adjunct Woodwind Instructor, Mr. Alexander Olivas will be a featured Alto Saxophone Soloist.

The Symphonic Band will perform Celebration and Song by Robert Sheldon; Chorale and March from Symphonic Suite by Clifton Williams; Circus Bee March by Henry Fillmore; Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing by Randall Standridge; Counterbalance by Todd Stalter; Crown Him With Many Crowns, A Fanfare Prelude by James Searingen; Diversion, For Alto Saxophone and Concert Band by Bernhard Heiden, featuring Alex Olivas on Alto Saxophone and The Hounds of Spring, A Concert Overture for Winds by Alfred Reed, Arr. Robert Longfield.

Come celebrate the end of the semester with the band in this strong and skilled ensemble.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online, at the San Juan College Bookstore, as well as in person at the door the evening of the performance. Online ticket sales will be available until midnight on May 5, by visiting sanjuancollege.edu/events and clicking on Events. Then click on the San Juan College Symphonic Band Concert tile. Tickets can also be purchased at the San Juan College Bookstore Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Local music students can get in free by showing an ID card and stating the name of their music teacher and school.
